Clare Elizabeth Kennedy

An architect whose base of collaboration was Ichol village, studied traditional Indian vernacular architecture in collaboration with resident artist Ramesh Chandra and local Australian assistant Acacia Stevenson. With their collaboration, as well as input from local artisans, Mohan, Lalu, Nath and Amit, and Gyanendra Gautam, an Art Ichol guide, Clare designed a small eco residential building. This eco building fused elements from traditional mud buildings as well as elements of modernism to create an economically and ecologically viable form of construction.
