Amritah Sen

A visual artist whose base of collaboration was Madina Bhavan, worked with local collaborators such as Dr. Kailash Jain, a close family friend of Baba Alauddin Khan, to understand the relevance of his contribution to Indian music. Other collaborators included Shri Lakshman Pandey, a sitar player and his only living local disciple, Shri Ashok Barolia, a fifth generation tabla player, the Maihar Band, Anindya Bandopadhyay, a musician, and artist Anupam Chakravarty. Out of this collaboration was born an art document: “Book Art that narrates the story of Madina Bhavan – Past and Present”.
